Desert Bowlers - September

The Northern Arizona Bowlerettes gathered on September 21st, 2024, at Shake Rattle & Bowl located in Cliff Castle Casino in Camp Verde to start their 2024-2025 season, and they started their season with gusto! Close to 80 ladies made the trip, and we welcomed 14 new members to the fold! We definitely filled the house!We would like to welcome the following ladies to NAZB: Fran Alvarado, Debbie Byrne, Melynda Fincher, Edith Finn, Ronnie Graves, Jenn Hall, Miki Kane, Cathy Knisley, Debbie Lamb, Sally O’Neil, Christine Shropshire, Pam Sperry, Deidre Studebaker, & Lynn Sweezy. Welcome, welcome, welcome!Happy Birthday to You! We’d like to wish the following members a happy September birthday: Karla Gibbons (1st), Vicki Kedroski (4th), Victoria Gassett (6th), Cherri Holleman (7th), Donna Reitan (7th), Sandi Armstrong (8th), Myrna Dragon (9th), Pam Sperry (9th), Melynda Fincher (14th), Kathy Houchin (15th), Edith Finn (16th), Barbara Palmer (18th), Sherron Steinman (19th), Ellen Giannone (20th), Pam Cirasole (21st), and Loretta Hood (25th). Hope your birthday is/was a very special day!We now have 3 divisions, so let’s find out who mastered those oh-so-challenging lanes! In Division #1 (ladies with averages up to & including 122), Deidre Studebaker (808) came out above the rest! Congratulations Deidre! She was followed by Terri Whitfield (744), Laura Byers (713), Jeanette Grad (700), Pam Brady-White (692), Lawren Jaekel (690), Geri White (689), and Lin Ruschat (682).In Division #2 (ladies with averages of 123 up to & including 141), Michelle Broxmeyer (732) was the best of the bunch! Way to go Michelle! She was followed by Pam Cirasole (685), Brenda Schafer (684), Kristie LaShier (675), & Claire Mulliner (674).In Division #3 (ladies with averages of 142 & above) Edith Finn (745), was the champ! Nice going Edith! She was followed by Pam Sperry (718), Julie Tollefson (688), Christine Shropshire (670), Dawn Howle (664), Mysti Huston (662), Carol Belanger (661), Debbie Byrne (660), Lean Looi Cullen (657), Karen Hauswirth (653), & Sherron Steinman (636).More winners on the way! Mysti Huston was the lucky winner of a free entry for next month’s tournament! The following ladies checked their raffle tickets & zoomed up to collect their prizes: Marsha Wimmer, Brenda Lee, Terri Whitfield, Sally O’Neil, Edith Finn, Carol Belanger, Kristie LaShier, & Debra Fincher. Lucky ladies!On October 19th, 2024, the ladies will again be on the road headed to Johnson Pavilion in Sun City, where they will bowl 3 regular games with a Halloween twist thrown in! We always bowl on the 3rd Saturday of the month, & our tournaments always begin at 11:00A.M. We’re a great group of ladies of all ages coming from all over State 48!
